We’ve been working feverishly on Ext JS 4 for a long time, and are excited to be just a few weeks away
from the first public beta. The framework is already more solid than it has ever been, so we can’t
wait to get it into your hands. We expect to deliver a number of betas through the early part of next
year, with a 4.0 final release currently planned for February 28th 2011.
I hope you’re as excited as we are about the incredible new features coming in Ext JS 4, and that you
’ll continue to join us as we revolutionize the world of web application development.
Day two at Sencha Conference 2010 (#SenchaCon) continued with a great keynote by AT&T CTO, John
Donovan. In his address, Mr. Donovan noted that the volume of mobile data traffic on AT&T’s network
grew from just over 1 billion megabytes in the third quarter of 2007 to about 30.3 billion megabytes in
the third quarter of this year. Amazing growth. He also talked about AT&T’s commitment to help the
development of mobile applications and HTML5. AT&T now has innovation centers in Palo Alto, California,
Plano, Texas, and Tel Aviv, Israel, and wants to talk to 400 startup projects per year. We are excited
to be working with AT&T and thank them for being a Platinum Sponsor of Sencha Conference 2010.
